In the beginning of the programme, a pre-test is to be written by learners so that they can realise where they lack knowledge. Then they see the first CD. All types of pump manuals are to be kept in the training hall so that learners can see them, when suggested by the computer based Training Programme. After a small break, they have to see the second CD. This second CD explains various procedures, tools and precautions to be followed in pump assembly. After seeing the first 2 CD’s, they have to read the reading material, so that their knowledge is reinforced. Learners have to assemble few pumps practically using all the points, which they have learnt in the CD’s. Then a post test is to be written by the learners to assess effectiveness of learning. Answers to the test papers are enclosed in the reading material. Using these answer sheets, an engineer with few years experience can evaluate the effectiveness. If the learners have any more doubt, they can write to us for clarification.
After few days, they have to see the next 2 CD’s, and read the reading material. They have to practically dismantle a pump using all the points learnt in this course. CD 3 & 4 explain various procedures, tools used and precautions to be followed in pump dismantling. 5th & 6th CD’s explain reasons for troubles and remedies. 7th & 8th CD’s explain about factors affecting life & efficiency of pumps and procedures for increasing life and efficiency.
Pre-test and post-test are compulsory to the participants. Answers to the test papers are enclosed in the reading material. Using these answer sheets, an engineer with few years experience can evaluate the effectiveness. Only two CD’s should be shown on one day. If learners see more CD’s on one day, they cannot remember all the new points, which they have learnt. If the learners have any more doubt, they can write to us for clarification.
